My menifesto

and deserves the chance to do both.
So yes, I am conservative, and YES I have ______ friends,
because any belief system that separates one person from another is evil,
its as simple as that,
My God is a Lord of Love, a bringer of healing and understanding among men,
MY God is a God of relationships-
God wants your relationship with him to be so good, so fulfilling that it effects the way you see relationships period.
If you have a relationship with God, pettiness shames you, backstabbing saddens you, lies and gossip enrage- you should always seek to offer the best of yourself to everyone around you!
Anything less is a slap in the face to any God you claim to worship.
And then the judgement...

I have very high standards for who I consider a friend, chances are-
you don't meet them.
Don't feel bad though, most don't.
A friend is someone I can trust with my life,
and the lives of others if it comes to it, my deepest thoughts, my finances, my cellphone, my boyfriend, and general mental health,
I can hand all of these things to my friend and go to Tahiti for a year with no worries because I know her/his character just as well as they should know mine.
Friends have boundaries,
we have things we DON'T talk about, things we wouldn't share and a friend knows when not to press certain subjects, not because we are hiding things, but because sometimes its not relevant.
Friends respect each other, they don't worship each other,
if we are not on even ground, we cant be friends, you have to be able to look each other in the eye.
You may ask my opinion on something, but its certainly not gospel,
so I respect your choice not to listen without getting angry, and I expect the same.
(although we can expect an occasional "I told you so")
We are not going to agree, but we will always put our relationship first in any conflict- bros before hoes has a good tang to it I think,
but a true friend will try their best to never put you in a position where you have to choose between someone you care about or them.
And the biggest, hardest thing, A friend knows when to let go-
because sometimes friendships fade, sometimes people change so that they no longer can be considered friends, and sometimes YOU change so much that you can't be a friend to anyone.
Also, sometimes they just don't talk for long periods of time because of life,
be mature enough not to freak out and they'll come back eventually, your too awesome to ignore!!
Being a good friend is a sacred thing, an honor, a burden and a trust, not everyone can be a friend and not everyone has one.
I'm tremendously blessed to have as many as I do :-D

Religion matters...
Doesn't it?
I mean, where your spending eternity, who your spending it with, and HOW your spending it matter alot right??
but...
How about them hats?
Or the color red?
Or (as in a recent "discussion") whether or not the peace sign is a satanic symbol??
And is ignorance of the biblical viewpoint on these matters an excuse for the extreme amount of hostility we see in the church today??
Where do we draw the line between being a loving corrector, a jugdemental self-righteousness hypocrite, and a spiritual doormat for our peers?
it's a question I've been pondering as I study the character of our (my?) saviour-
Why did he spare the Adulteress - yet condemn the Pharisees?
we all know the scenario-
Hypocritical judge mentors vs. Innocent(wait a minit) defenseless housewife
8:1 Jesus went unto the Mount of Olives. 2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
(note this it seems important)
3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, 4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
(Okay TIRED joke, but it bears repeating- where was the guy?? These people aren't interested in this woman's soul and they aren't hurting for her husband either.
Whatever, this woman is guilty and everybody knows it)
5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
(Theres the pitch!!)
6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
(This is almost as if Jesus needed a slight break to himself,
or this whole thing was so ridiculous he reverted to a state of child-likeness for a moment)
7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
(Nag nag nag nag NAG, these people were starting to mess up his sand drawing!! still, its a good quote, and "cast the first stone" calls up about 262,000 results
8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
(Cue the Jepordy music!)
9 And they who heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
(Ok, now that we've dealt with all those people who really had no business being involved in the first place we can get down to the judgement!!)
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11 She said, No man, Lord.(duh) And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
WAIT!!! so NOONE got stoned??
obviously, the only one in a position to punish her was Jesus,
AND she was guilty
AND He's the God of judgement
AND nowhere does it say she apologizes to her husband!!
I dont think the worthiness of her accusers changed her crime in Jesus's eyes...
Yet somehow, I do??
one thing I know is she deserved to be stoned-- but she wasn't.
and what sort of precedent should we take from this if any??
(I'm asking way more questions than I'm answering here and I think thats ok, because I don't know and how I decide these answers for myself will determine how I deal with gross immorality in my day to day.)
I know, I know! another open-ended post lol, but this time I at least got you a second opinion!!

I'm not recovering from an attack but I feel the same way all the time, "creepy old it doesn't matter if its someone my age or an older person, male or female, I HATE to be touched.
(you can pray for me about this if you like, I do)
maybe its because I can feel the pity and and the CHARITY in the action,
my self doesn't WANT any help, we're fine, thanks, stay away.
and also its because you don't actually care...
thats right, I said it.
for some people touch means nothing but to me its alot.
My body is the only thing thats mine in this world, and I wont share it unless I want to.
on the other hand sometimes I really need a hug from a friend,
so what? I'm a girl, I can be weird ;-)

There is something disgusting about Agape love...
Jesus KNEW each and everyone of us before we were born, so I believe he can love all of us like that.
but you?
You've never gotten on my level.
Never seen things the way I see them, never even tried.
how could you love me?
I wont believe it, I refuse.
Don't touch me.
Lord,
use me this year for your GLORY, make me better so I'll be fit to serve you.

Start working through me.

Spread me wider.

Make me more diverse

Help me to see your will in the little things.

Make me silent and still.

Make in me a LOVE,
not only for others, but also for myself.

Jesus commands us to "Love one another"
but knowing as he must
the different people, different world views that were present even BEFORE his death,
wouldn't a better commandment be
"try your hardest to be nice to each other, your all you've got"?
Its impossible to love everyone, theres just too many people,
and besides,
their all WRONG-
WRONG theology, WRONG dress style, WRONG personality,
the idea of a heaven populated by THOSE people sounds more like hell
when we're together we don't want peace, we want to KILL them!
but...
Love is not always getting along or always agreeing,
its not flowers when your sick or cards on your birthday.
it is, in its purest form, a sacrificial giving of ourselves,
it is breaking MY self and MY will against yours,
putting YOUR wants and needs above my own and doing so freely,
by choice.
Its easy to do this with someone like you,
someone you like,
or someone who already loves you,
but the greatest triumph isn't in hugging a teddy bear, but a grizzly.
Actively loving those who go against us is so hard, so terrifying,
that most of us might rather have the bear.
There is a reason I used the word "breaking"
this thing, which we are commanded to do,
can break our will, and our pride,
but it can also break our hearts, our backs, and if we aren't careful, our self-esteem.
Jesus displayed his love in an all encompassing manner at the cross,
before that, love was easy,
walking with humanity and healing the multitudes was nothing compared to the ultimate breaking that he would be called to suffer.
"And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt."- Mark 14:35-36 (King James Version)
"And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground."- Luke 22:44 (King James Version)
But it didn't pass from him
and he gave himself-
the ultimate sacrifice, the ultimate display of love.
And its definitely not our place to say who can and cannot help build the kingdom of heaven!
(God can and DOES works through every vessel, because every hair on your head is HIS)
God doesn't want or respect our promises- they mean nothing to him-
He wants our submission to his will in our lives in ALL THINGS.
He NEEDS us to show love and honor to him with our lives and how we live.
He wants everything!
Our promises are nothing next to the, complete and total surrender of our lives to an almighty GOD.
we get all caught up in the law and forget whats important!
All of the things Jesus calls us individually to do in our lives, is nothing if we aren't talking about how He died for us.
SISTERS WE NEED TO BE SHARING HOW HE GAVE EVERYTHING FOR US!
